5 Must-Have Staples for your Winter Wardrobe

For me, winter has always been a challenge when it comes to fashion. After NYE, it’s easy for my wardrobe to go from fun + sparkly to dingy + drab. However, the year is 2020 so let’s change that and live our best style, amiright?

To solve the winter style blues, I’ve rounded up some must-haves to elevate your wardrobe this season.

Neutral Bodysuit.

Bodysuits are an absolute must-have this winter especially when you’re trying to pair with the high-waisted everything you’re finding on the racks. Bodysuits are versatile and easy to style with everything from a pencil skirt for work and your favorite denim on the weekend.

My picks:

Denim on Denim.

Speaking of denim. If you can find 2-4 pairs of jeans in a variety of washes and a couple of versatile belts, you’ll never run out of new looks to style. Yes, a great pair of jeans can be an investment, but in my opinion, they’re one of the most dynamic and important pieces in your entire closet.

My picks:

Chic Outerwear.

Whether I’m off to work or an event, I love a stylish overcoat to polish off a more formal look. Overcoats are the Cadillac of outerwear and immediately elevate your look from casual to sophisticated. Again, a good-quality overcoat can be an investment so take the time to shop around and find what color(s) best fit your current closet.

My picks:

Beanies, Baby.

Street style requires a good beanie or two for those second and third-day (or in my case, five-day) hair moments. Beanies are all the rage right now and are a fun way to play up a casual look when you’re heading out to run errands.

My picks:

Booties.

From fall to winter, booties legit make my world go round. Black booties are timeless and if you’re doing it right, edgy-chic. As a shorter gal, I’m fond of a slight heel but you can certainly find a myriad of styles that will best fit your personality.

My picks:

My looks revolve around these items this season so I hope you found this helpful! Reinvigorate your style even if temps are low.
